Using D2D
D2D is a free file-sharing tool. By using it you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the service.
Acceptable use
You may use D2D to transfer any files you have the right to share. You may not use D2D to:
- Transfer files that violate any applicable law
- Distribute malware, ransomware, or other malicious software
- Share content that infringes copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property rights
- Share child sexual abuse material (CSAM) — this will be reported to authorities
- Attempt to abuse, disrupt, or attack the service or its infrastructure
We may terminate access to the service for violations of this policy.
No warranty
D2D is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We make no guarantees about uptime, data integrity, or fitness for any particular purpose. File transfers may fail. Relay storage may be unavailable. Use the service at your own risk and keep your own copies of important files.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of D2D — including but not limited to lost data, lost profits, or service interruptions — even if we were advised of the possibility of such damages.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising from use of D2D shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim (which is $0, since the service is free).
Your content
You own the files you transfer. We claim no rights to your content. We do not access or inspect the contents of peer-to-peer transfers. Relay files are encrypted and deleted automatically on transfer completion or link expiry.
By using the share-link feature you represent that you have the right to share the files and that sharing them does not violate any law or these terms.
Intellectual property
The D2D name, logo, and source code are owned by Amos Horne. The source code is available under the terms of its open-source license. Nothing in these terms grants you rights to the D2D name or branding beyond what is necessary to use the service.
Changes to the service
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue D2D at any time without notice. We may also update these terms — if we do, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Continued use after a change means you accept the new terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of King County, Washington.
